VOLT ATEX Switchbox

A compact and solid switchbox to ATEX Eexd IP67 for the APL-510 version and ATEX Exia IP67 for the APL-520 version, and minimum SIL 2 rated. The die-cast aluminium enclosure is rated II2G Ex d IIC T6, Gb, II2D Ex tb IIIC T85°C Db IP67.

The enclosure is finished with black polyester powder coat, fitted with 2x M20 cable entries, and features a high visibility beacon optical indicator. The threaded screw-down cover ensures the IIC rating, and the captive cover bolts are safely retained during installation and maintenance.

The switchbox is mounted to the actuator with a Namur standard stainless steel mounting bracket, and features a stainless steel shaft. The APL-510 version is fitted with 2x SPDT mechanical switches, and the APL-520 version is fitted with 2x P&F NJ2- V3-N (2 wire) proximity sensors, for indication of fully open and fully closed positions.

Spring loaded splined cams allow easy, tool-less switch adjustment. Switchbox has the following operating voltage/amps: 250V AC/16A, 125V AC/16A, 250V DC/0.3A, and 125V DC/0.6A for APL-510 version, and 8V DC (2 wire) for APL-520 version. Ambient temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
